Urge Your Governor to Recognize May as ALS Awareness Month

ALS Awareness Month, observed every May, is dedicated to raising awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This month serves to educate the public, advocate for patients and their families, and inspire action to advance research and care.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to loss of muscle control and profoundly impacting thousands of individuals and families across the United States. Despite this, public understanding and support remain limited. We can amplify the campaign's impact by securing official proclamations and drawing attention to the urgent need for treatments, care resources, and continued research.

Ask your governor to recognize ALS Awareness Month and join us in the fight against ALS by supporting laws and policies to find new treatments and a cure!
